AMERICAN SPECTRAL HISTORY
Amber Bemak and Nadia Granados

American Spectral History is a performance and video show which investigates relationships between South and North America through multiple manifestations of embodied love and violence. This show reflects a meeting of two lovers from North and South America–the space between them filled with ghosts. Using magic, scissors, and cloth we conjure up murdered women, using a video exchange we look to our presidents for answers, and we turn to each other to investigate our own multiple objectifications- as women lesbian self-identified monsters. We choose to mutate in order to avoid categorization, asking our audience to mutate with us as we embody a variance of formations.

Has been presented in:

Estreno: Teatro Bar El Vicio. CDMX. México 2016
Museo Tamayo. CDMX. México 2016.

The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention.
